Programming Description

This program prepares you for the American Cider Association's Certified Cider Guide™ exam. The Level 1 Certified Cider Guide™ (CCG) certification is designed as a fundamental course for those interested in developing their basic understanding of cider and cider principles. It is a prerequisite for the second level of certification, the Certified Pommelier™. The cost of the certification exam, including 2 attempts, is included in the registration price and participants have the option to complete the exam as part of the day's programming. If a participant chooses to take the exam at a later date, the exam link provided will remain active for 30 days post workshop.  Please coordinate with the American Cider Association (jennie@ciderassociation.org) for any additional exam information or accommodation.

Learner Outcomes

The topics covered in the Level 1: Certified Cider Guide are: Apples, Pears, and Orchards, Cider Production, Cider Families and Flavours, Evaluating Cider, Keeping and Serving Cider, Cider and Food, and Social Responsibility.

ACA members are eligible for a reduced registration. Members can access their discount code in the ACA resource hub.
