This course is designed for anyone who needs to know how to create a sustainable and profitable financial plan for a new or existing winery or cidery and/or who needs to understand how financial realities impact operational decision making. Through-out this 10-week online course, participants will build a tool to plan for sustainable profitability for products within their portfolio. Each week features asynchronous material, a live, online review and discussion session with the course instructor, and activities that will culminate in the creation of a financial planning and profitability tool that participants can apply to their own specific circumstances. Topics include: calculating cost of goods sold, financial impacts of different production methods/philosophies, capital cost structures, production capacity, equipment, product pricing, financing options, and basic accounting.Learner Outcomes
