EDUC 9N789 - Construction Technology, Grades 11/12
Programming Description
This course will help you build the technical knowledge, instructional skills, and professional judgment needed to teach Senior Construction Technology in Ontario. You will explore curriculum expectations, health and safety, accessibility, construction methods, design and technical drawing, materials and building systems, project planning, assessment, and skilled trades pathways within residential and light commercial contexts.
The course emphasizes safe, inclusive, accessible, anti-oppressive, and environmentally responsible learning environments grounded in authentic industry practice. You will weave Indigenous histories, perspectives, knowledge systems, and rights by examining reconciliation, land stewardship, housing, materials, and respectful community relationships.
