This is a rare opportunity to taste through unique cider styles from around the world and close to home. This course is designed for industry professionals and cidermakers as well as cider lovers looking to explore and deepen their knowledge. Through guided tastings you’ll explore exceptional ciders featuring traditional styles along with those that will challenge and redefine conventional expectations.
With exclusive access to hard-to-find ciders, this program offers a rare opportunity to expand your palate and understanding of international and North American cider traditions and innovations. Over four Saturdays in-person, this course delivers a structured, social learning experience with a blend of learning about cidermaking and cider history with practical cider tastings. Optional, organized cidery visits provide an opportunity to connect directly with local cidermakers, showcasing Ontario’s expanding cider industry.

Learner Outcomes
This course is designed to provide participants with: a general knowledge of cider history and production, experience tasting a range of international and local ciders, an understanding of cider styles and their general descriptions, the ability to confidently pair cider with food.
